Deep wisdom comes with the reckoning of our understanding of Deep Time. Individually sourced from various locations within Brasil, including the Serra da Canastra National Park -- from the top of mountainous plateaux to the bottom of waterfall pools -- this library of stone books asks the viewer to consider Deep Time through their collective stratigraphic pages of information and transformation. As citizens of Earth committed to changing the patterns of climate disaster and protecting our forests, we must first understand our altruistic duty to protect the future through our understanding of our geological past; hence, we must learn to read in the present, to comprehend our place in history and our collective responsibilities to our planet.
